Introduction:

MOTOROL TOPGEAR HD grade of oils are heavy viscous black petroleum products possessing excellent adhesiveness, good film strength and resistance to water washing. These oils are blended with special tackiness agents useful in withstanding high pressure encounter in heavy loaded open gears.

Applications:

Open gears are found in many types of heavy machinery in steel mills, sugar mills, etc. and are commonly hand lubricated at frequent intervals. To provide optimum lubrication and to avoid metal to metal contact to reduce friction and wear, this lubricant is required to provide a tacky oil film that will neither be squeezed aside by the machine action of teeth, nor thrown off by centrifugal force of rotating gears.
